“I can’t sing ‘we don’t need no education”. My mom’s an English teacher”

The year: 1994. The place: Pepper Pike Ohio. Derek Bell and his younger brother Danny, both aspiring musicians, are the poorest kids at the exclusive Pepper Pike Academie’ high school. They only get to attend because their nerdy dad Ray is the music teacher. While their wealthy classmates will be enjoying Christmas break in Maui or Aspen, the boys will cleaning out grandma’s garage. While doing so, they find a Polaroid from 1967 of their dad and his rock band The Pyschedelic Dragons. They learn their dad dreamed of being a rock star. The boys imagine how great life would have been. They’d be rich. Suddenly an armoire opens revealing their dad’s band playing covers in a club circa 1967. They’re really good. The boys can’t understand why the band failed until they play an original song. It’s dreadful. So Derek and Danny go through the time travel armoire and concoct a plan to make their dad a rock star. The plan is working. One problem. If they follow through on it to it’s conclusion, they’ll never be born.
