Most plays and musicals have two acts.

So does Michael DiGaetano.

In a twenty-plus year career in Hollywood, Michael created, wrote, produced and was showrunner for comedy series and pilots for NBC, CBS, HBO, Fox, Paramount, Universal, James Burrows, and Ron Howard.

In film, Michael co-wrote Houseguest for Disney starring Sinbad and Phil Hartman as well as script doctoring The Flintstones, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas and Casper for Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. Michael also wrote screenplays and developed projects for United Artists, Warner Brothers, Universal, Lorimar, Imagine Entertainment, Bernie Brillstein and Harold Ramis.

A native New Yorker who majored in drama at Ithaca College, Michael often returned from LA to see as many musicals and plays as possible, knowing one day he wanted to write for the stage. During a visit in 2007, he decided to stay. Curtain up on Act Two.

Michael is a member of both the Lehman Engel BMI Musical Theatre lyricist and librettist workshops, the Dramatist’s Guild and the Writer’s Guild of America West.
